Decatur Presbyterian Children's Community
Welcome to Decatur Presbyterian Children's Community. We are delighted to offer a safe and caring learning environment where every child is respected, valued, and known by name. DPCC has operated for over 50 years as an outreach ministry of Decatur Presbyterian Church is located at 205 Sycamore Street in Decatur. DPCC was the first church kindergarten in DeKalb County.
DPCC Open House in February!
Mark your calendar for DPCC's Open House on Friday, February 1 from 9:00-12:00 noon!
Important: Children will NOT attend classes that day, but should come with parents to visit their current and future classrooms. This is a drop in even during which the staff will be in their Sunday finest and available to talk school with you. And the classrooms will be chocked full of your children's art! Don't miss it!
2008-09 Registration Information
Registration materials for the 2008-09 school year will begin coming home to enrolled families in bookbags on Tuesday, January 29 and will be available to church members on this day as well. Registration is open ONLY to enrolled families and church members until Monday, February 11, when it opens to new families. We will accept completed forms from new families beginning at Open House on February 1 and will process them in the order received on February 11.
You can pick up additional forms from the DPCC Office, Room B208; the PMO area in the Sycamore House; and the Church Office.

Philosophy
DPCC operates from the point of view that a child's work is play, and our classroom approach reflects a creative, play-oriented philosophy. Teachers pull from a variety of published curricula to create thematic and age-appropriate units for their classes. Our program is rich in indoor and outdoor play, art, music, literature, science, social studies, reading and math readiness.
