DPC to Hold Food Drive for DEAM in July
The Mission & Outreach Council will host a food drive for DEAM, Decatur-Area Emergency Assistance Ministry, during the month of July. Collection points will be limited to Sycamore House and the sanctuary narthex, due to our ongoing construction.
All are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations (check expiration date!). Particular items DEAM requests include:
- Rice, boxes of pasta and Jello
- Canned meats and pasta sauce
- Sweet cereals
- Canned fruit
- Bundled tea and sugar packets
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Powdered laundry detergent
DEAM provides food and basic toiletries to qualifying families from food pantries at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Decatur and Avondale First Baptist Church.
