A Blessing of Animals witnesses to God’s and the Church’s love, care, and concern for creation. As we recognize our mutual interdependence with God’s creatures, the Church’s witness of stewardship of creation is strengthened.

The DPC Blessing of the Animals service will be held (Rain or Shine) in the terrace garden and on the sanctuary steps facing Sycamore Street or if rain, under the portico facing Sycamore Street. Fellowship, contests, and refreshments will follow. If you are not able to bring an animal, you may wish to bring a picture of an animal you love or an endangered species in the wild.
