You Are Invited to Christmas Eve Services
Decatur Presbyterian Church will hold three Christmas Eve Services to celebrate Christ’s Birth!
****All Services are in the sanctuary and Live Streamed
Come-As-You-Are Pageant for families with young children
- Held in the sanctuary
- Approximately 30 minutes
- Christ Candle in the center of the Advent Wreath will be lit by the Boudreau Family
- The Christmas Story told by the Pastors and Lori McMahan
- Favorite Christmas Carols
- Sharing of the Light, children hold battery operated tea lights
- See link below to art children can use at home during the service

Coloring Pages for 3:30 Service
The 3:30 service Christmas Eve is a participatory service. Click on the link below for nativity coloring pages. You can print, color, and cut out these pieces before the service and move them during the service as each of the different people and animals make their way to the manger to see baby Jesus.

5:30 p.m. Child-Led Service
|
- Held in the Sanctuary. Overflow space, if needed, in the parlor classroom and session room
- Christ Candle in the center of the Advent Wreath will be lit by the Drake Family
- Led by children of DPC
- Anthems by the Cricket and Covenant Choirs
- Christmas Story and Message by DPC Pastors
- Deacons’ Fund Offering – plates in the Narthex and Philips Foyer, to benefit DPC church members in need

10:30 p.m. Lessons and Carols
|
- Held in the Sanctuary, ending at midnight
- Lighting of the Christ Candle by the Hikie Allen Family
- Series of Bible Lessons alternate with anthems by the Chancel Choir with brass ensemble (musicians in the balcony)
- Congregational singing, closing with “Silent Night” and the passing of the Light of Christ
- Deacon’s Fund Offering – plates in the narthex and Philips Foyer to benefit church members in need

Safety Considerations:
- Please view the service on DPCs YouTube Channel from home if you need to be careful or are not feeling well.
- Seating in every other pew only. Families and groups who attend together may sit together in the same pew.
- Communion will not be served.
- Candles lit at the end of the 10:30 service will be extinguished by using a spoon provided, not by blowing them out.
- No offering plate will be passed.
