The Senior Adult Ministry of Decatur Presbyterian Church will host a luncheon at 12:30pm on Tuesday, February 27th. The lunch will feature guest speaker Dr. Laura Szymanski, Clinical Research Coordinator at NeuroStudies in Decatur. Doctor Szymanski will present information about the latest trends in Alzheimer’s disease prevention research as well as how people can get involved in research.

Dr. Laura Szymanski is a Clinical Research Coordinator at NeuroStudies.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Texas Christian University and then went on to earn a Ph.D. at Lehigh University in Behavioral Neuroendocrinology.   Dr. Szymanski has been with NeuroStudies since 2015 and takes part in their mission to educate older adults and their families about brain health during aging.  She will also provide helpful lifestyle tips to maintain brain health and wellness throughout life.  NeuroStudies will provide free memory screens after the talk and give folks a copy of their scores to keep track of their memory over time.

The luncheon will be held in the Slack Fellowship Hall from 12:30pm to 2:00pm
