Walk with Global Village Project

Clarkston Community Center 3701 College Ave., Clarkston, GA, United States

Global Village Project (GVP), a nonprofit special purpose middle school for refugee girls, will hold its 4th Annual Connecting Communities Walk (CCW) on Saturday, November 5th. The CCW is a 4.3 mile walk along the PATH Trail between Clarkston, where many refugees start their new lives in the US, and Decatur, where our school is located in the Decatur Presbyterian Church. GVP students arrive in the United States eager for education and the chance to give back to their communities. GVP's vision is to make sure refugee girls have access to the education necessary to pursue their dreams. Every dollar we raise through the Connecting Communities Walk helps GVP provide life-changing educational opportunities that empower refugee girls. Click here to support CCW 2016 in any of three ways: by registering to walk with us, by signing up as a walk sponsor, or by creating your own online page to raise money in support of CCW 2016. Location and Time Check-in and day-of registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Clarkston Community Center (3701 College Ave, Clarkston, GA 30021). The walk will start at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine. Please contact Teni-Ola Ogunjobi at taogunjobi@globalvillageproject.org or Erin Halstead at ehalstead@globalvillageproject.org for more information about the CCW.
