As the beginning of Holy Week, Palm Sunday commemorates when Jesus entered Jerusalem and was greeted by people waving palm branches. Palm Sunday serves as a reminder for Christians to welcome Jesus into their hearts and be ready to follow Him.

Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter is observed in commemoration of Jesus Christ’s institution of the Eucharist during the Last Supper.

 

Good Friday Choral Tenebrae, March 29, 2024 at 7:30pm

Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, is a service of darkness commemorating the suffering and death of Christ. A Tenebrae includes the 7 last words of Christ. The use of candles in a darkened church on Good Friday can dramatically portray the fading light of the world as Christ was leaving it.

Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 10:30

Easter Sunday marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion. It is a celebratory festival including decorating the cross with flowers and a brass quartet.
